What is Botox?

The Botox material is extracted from a bacteria which we have been hearing so often known as Clostridium botulinum and used for cosmetic filling material for preventing wrinkles without surgical intervention.

Which zones can be applied to?

It can be applied to and around the forehead, on the crow’s feet, on to the area between two eyebrows and also the neck area. In recent years, it has begun to be applied to the armpit area not just for filling the lines but also to prevent sweating.

How does Botox work?

Botox has a positive effect on your skin by ensuring that the muscles contract vertically with advancing age and that the lines that appear as a result of wrinkles are filled and that these lines disappear. As the space between the lines filled, it prevents the wrinkling of the crow’s feet area when we are laughing and also prevents the lines from appearing when we frown.

How is botox application done?

Botox application is mostly done by injecting a very small dose of the botox material into the targeted area.

How long does it take to complete the whole application of Botox?

The application period may vary depending on the number of zones to be applied and the number of visible wrinkles.

Is it painful?

During the application, anesthetic creams are used or local anesthesia is performed to reduce the pain. However, it is normal to feel a small pain. Apart from this, no pain or swelling is observed after Botox application.

When can we see the end result?

The effects of botox application begins to show itself at the end of the third day and you can fully observe the result at the end of the week.

How long does it last?

The effect of Botox application lasts up to 6 months.

What is the filler?

Filling is a non-surgical aesthetic method used to remove wrinkles like botox. The difference between Botox and Filling is that Filling contains Hyaluronic acid. There is no need to wait for wrinkles to appear for botox application.

What areas can be injected by Botox?

The face filling can be applied to the areas such as crow’s feet, forehead, cheek and lip just like botox. It can also be used to fill gaps such as previously formed wounds and acne scars. The filling material when applied to the whole area of the mouth in small doses instead of the silicone  provides a more natural appearance when filling the lips.

How to apply filling ?

Filling application is a procedure which is performed by injecting the substance into the skin by a fine-tipped needle containing active substance.

How long does it take to apply filling?

We can say that it takes around 30 minutes in general depending on the target area.

After Procedure

Tardy movements should be avoided after filling application. During the first few days, patients should lay down on their backs. Any movement that may cause pressure on the surface should be avoided. Patients should take a shower with lukewarm water instead of hot water and should wipe the face with gentle movements. Redness and bruise may occur after application. It is beneficial to make an ice pack to prevent these.

When can we see the end result?

You can see the result of the filling application within a week to 10 days.

How long does it last?

The effect of filling application lasts up to 6 months to 2 years.
